FAQ

Questions we hear most.

Straight answers about how buying and selling work with us. If yours isn't here, ask. We would rather answer it than have you guess.

Working with us

Where do you work?

All of Tooele County, Utah. Most of our work is in Grantsville, Stansbury Park, Tooele, Erda, Lake Point, Stockton, and we cover the rest of the county too.

Who is on the team?

Lisa Neil and Laramie Dunn. Both are licensed Utah real estate agents with RealtyPath LLC (Tooele Valley).

How do I get started?

Call or text either of us, send an email, or use the form on any page. A conversation is the first step whether you're buying, selling, or just thinking about it.

Can you help me buy and sell at the same time?

Yes. Plenty of people sell one home and buy the next in the same move. We talk through the timing and the order of operations with you before anything goes live, so the two sides line up.

Buying

Do I have to sign something before we tour homes?

In Utah, buyers sign a written buyer-broker agreement before touring homes. It spells out who represents you, what we'll do for you, and how our work is paid for. We go through it with you in plain language and answer every question before you sign.

What does it cost to work with you as a buyer?

The terms are written into the buyer agreement, and we walk through them with you before you sign anything. Nothing is assumed, and the numbers are yours to review.

Do I need a lender before we start looking?

If you'll need financing, it helps to know your numbers before you fall for a house. We can point you toward a lender so that conversation happens early.

What should I bring to a first conversation?

A sense of the areas you're considering, a rough budget or a willingness to find one with a lender, your must-haves and deal-breakers, and questions. The more questions, the better.

What is the commute like from the Tooele Valley?

Most of the valley connects to Salt Lake County to the northeast by way of State Route 36 and Interstate 80. Where you land in the valley changes that drive, so it's worth weighing alongside the house itself. We can talk through it town by town.

Selling

How do you decide on a list price?

We look at what's actually selling near you and talk through a price that fits the home and the market, not a number picked to win the listing.

Should I fix things up before I list?

We tell you what's worth doing before you list and what isn't. Sometimes the honest answer is to leave it.

How do you market a listing?

Every listing gets a professional video package plus photography, so your home looks its best online from day one. Then we put it in front of buyers, manage showings, and keep you posted on what we're hearing.

Can you tell me what my home is worth?

Yes. Use the home-value page or just ask. We look at what's actually selling near you and give you a number with the reasoning behind it, not an automated estimate.
